The Chesapeake Civic Chorus has a wonderful opportunity for you to join in with the growth of our talented organization. The Chesapeake Civic Chorus was established in March 1986 by Mrs. Geraldine Boone, an accomplished music educator, choral director, vocalist and pianist. The Chorus works to improve and develop a passion for choral music in Chesapeake. Come join in and sing- a-long with us, perform in our two annual performances, and have some fun along the way. This Annual Spring Concert featured The Boys Choir of Hampton Roads. Directed by
Julius McCullough.
The Chesapeake Civic Chorus performed at the Chesapeake Conference Center to a full house. As usual the concert was a musical family friendly afternoon of melodic classics such as "Lift Up Your Heads" and "Glorious Everlasting" to "My Way" and "The Circle of Life." The soloists of the day included Vanessa H. Williams, (Lift Up Your Heads), Davie Whyte Jr. (Make Then Hear You), and Xavier Blount (Jesus Is Love). The CCC concert vibes are always pleasant but this concert displayed an indescribable uplift like no other. Be sure to visit the chorus during the 2024-2025 concert season as a new chorus member or a member of the audience, you will not regret it
